THE BOWER
Connected to nature through natural materials and local artists.
THE BOWER
It was a joy to partner with ESG Architecture and Design and Greystar Development and Construction on this 185-unit luxury apartment complex in Edina. The project team shared a vision of tranquil common spaces that were firmly grounded in a sense of place at The Bower.
We collaborated with the project team to select watercolors, evocative landscapes, and multimedia pieces from local female artists to connect the interior spaces to the surrounding community. Locally harvested dyes made from native plants played a key role in many of the pieces we chose, adding a warm, organic feel to the clean, modern lines of the building’s design. The keystones to the collection include a mesmerizing geode photo collage from Josie Lewis and a bespoke tapestry from Maggie Dimmick, who repurposed fabrics from local fashion houses into a hand-sewn masterpiece.
The result is a serene, sophisticated space that seamlessly integrates natural elements with modern luxury.

Rooted in the poetic essence of its name, Bower, meaning "a leafy shelter or arbor," sets the tone for a distinctive apartment complex. Inspired by the tranquility inherent in both the name and the natural surroundings of this 18-story edifice, our artistic vision unfolded. Watercolors, evocative landscapes, and nature-infused elements take center stage, with a nod to sustainability through pieces crafted with locally harvested dyes from native plants.
